Rewilding
Rewilding Therapy
Counselling and Psychotherapy · Archway, North London & Online

The process is straightforward, even when the beginning is not.
A call. A first session. Weekly work.
A brief conversation
Wanting something to change is reason enough to get in touch. Anxiety at a threshold is not a verdict. Unfamiliar paths can feel that way at first — and are often where a life widens.
Before arranging a session, we can speak by phone or Zoom for around fifteen minutes, with no charge.
You can ask practical questions, tell me a little about what has led you to contact me, and get a first sense of how it feels for us to speak together.
You can contact me through the website, or by email, text or telephone to arrange a time. I may not respond immediately, but I will come back to you as soon as I can.
GETTING STARTED
At the threshold

The first session
The first session is a full, 50-minute therapeutic meeting at the usual fee.
We will explore what you would like help with, what you may be hoping for, and whether this feels like somewhere you could return to.
Attending one session does not commit you to continuing.
That goes both ways. Beginning is a decision we each make — and if I think another therapist, or a different kind of support, would serve you better, I will say so honestly and, where I can, point you toward it.
Beforehand, I will send you a client form and working agreement.
The reflective questions in the form are invitations, not a test. Answer what you like; leave the rest.
The working agreement explains confidentiality, payment, cancellations, holidays and endings. We can go through anything unclear when we meet.
Ongoing work
If we decide to continue, sessions take place weekly at the same time and last 50 minutes.
Regularity means we are not beginning again each week. It gives what is harder to notice time to gather.
The weekly rhythm is also how the relationship builds.
I ask for an initial commitment of three months so the work has time to find its feet. After that, therapy is open-ended and can continue for as long as it remains useful.
Fees
My fee is £75–£95 per session, on a sliding scale.
Rather than my deciding where you sit on the scale, I ask you to choose the amount within that range that you can consistently afford. You do not need to explain or justify your choice.
That amount then becomes your regular weekly fee. We can revisit it together if your circumstances change.
In person and online
I see clients in Archway, North London, and online via Zoom.
Some people work entirely in person or entirely online. Others move between the two, depending on travel, illness and what is possible that week.
We can find an arrangement that suits both you and the work.
Esmeralda and Banjo
Esmeralda, my dog, is in the therapy room. She settles, and brings something of the animal world with her. For many people she becomes a quiet part of the hour — something warm to rest your eyes on when the words are hard to find.
She has her own reading of the room. On occasion, she gently curls up by someone’s feet.
Banjo, my cat, appears now and then — on his own terms.
Some clients find the animals grounding or comforting; others would prefer a room without them. Say so — and tell me about any allergies or fear of animals before we meet, so we can work out what is possible.

Banjo — practises unsupervised.
The dark wood
I offer outdoor rewilding work through groups and workshops, in the company of the living landscape.
In these sessions, we follow symbol and sensation — through movement, play and whatever the day puts in front of us.
The landscape is not a backdrop. Out there, the world does some of the listening.
The dark wood is not only a place of fear. It can also be a place of surrender: where the familiar path disappears, the imagination stirs, and something older begins to make itself known.
Beauty enters through darkness. It does not come to correct it.
Meet me in the meadow
You are welcome to write to me if you are curious or have something in mind.
"At one point I felt like Snow White, newly lost in the forest; having a base to return to, and seeing your warm smile there, made such a difference. The sticks, leaves and other things I gathered brought surprising revelations that I could never have reached by simply talking."
— Hampstead Heath workshop participant
One-to-one psychotherapy stays in the therapy room or online — the Heath keeps no confidences.
